Ajith-Sudha Kongara film still on cards

Ajith is all set to join hands with the acclaimed director Sudha Kongara for a big budget action film. The director who made a promising debut with Madhavan’s sports drama “Irudhi Suttru” didn’t take a lot of time to reach stardom. Sudha Kongara signed the next big ticket film “Soorarai Pottru” which is one of the highly anticipated movie in Kollywood. Meanwhile, the director is also on board with directors Gautham Menon, Vetri Maaran and Vignesh Shivan to explore how love, pride and honour influence complex relationships through four stories, the first Netflix Tamil anthology titled “Paava Kadahigal”. 

Rumours were rife that the talented director has narrated a script to actor Vijay, but the latter had asked for some changes. Later it was rumoured that Sudha Kongara is reportedly set to join hands with Ajith in her next directorial, and the film is to be produced by AGS Entertainment, but however, the production house denied the same. This left the fans in mere disappointment, but the latest reports brings a reason to rejoice among Thala fans. Gokulam Cinemas has reportedly come forward o bankroll the project and the film will have music composed by GV Prakash. Gokulam Cinemas is a popular production house in Mollywood and they entered Kollywood with Kamal Haasan’s “Thoongavanam”. The latest venture from the production house was Harish Kalyan’s “Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale”. Apparently, the project will go on floors after the star wraps up ‘Valimai.’
