Director Ameer who made his directional debut in “Mounam Pesiyathe” has directed 4 film outs of which 3 were critically acclaimed. He then made his acting debut in Yogi (2009) and has recently appeared in director Veterimaran’s “Vada Chennai” is all set to play the lead in “Narkaali”, helmed by VZ Durai of “Iruttu” and is bankrolled by Ameer’s friend Adam Baava under the banner of Moon Pictures. and Vidya sagar has been roped in score the music. CHandini Tamilarasan of Raja Ranguski fame will play the female lead and the dialogues of ‘Narkaali’ are penned by Ajayan Bala, while the cinematography will be handled by Krishnaswamy. The shoot has begun in December 2019 but however due to COVID-19 outbreak the shoot is on hold and is expected to resume after the lockdown is raised.

Touted to be an action entertainer the movie is set against the backdrop of politics and Ameer will be seen playing the role of politician and is expected to be a political satire film portraying current social conditions vie with director Manivannan’s “Amaithipadai” .
