Director Ameer motivates medical aspirants to boldly face the mammoth exam NEET

Tamil Nadu, which has been opposing conduct of NEET for admission into medical colleges since the beginning, has registered a 12.4 per cent dip in the number of students applying for the entrance exam this year when compared to the last academic year. NEET is an emotive issue in Tamil Nadu and the state government has been opposed to its conduct since the beginning with the Assembly passing staff-specific laws seeking exemption from the exams. As the debate on whether NEET should stay intensifies in Tamil Nadu, which has reported a sharp decline in the number of students applying for the exams. However, the NEET UG 2020 exam which was earlier scheduled in May has now been scheduled on Sunday, September 13,  2020 between 2 pm to 5 pm. According to NTA officials, 15.97 lakh candidates from across the country have registered for pen-paper based medical entrance test.
