Nayanthara’s ‘Mookuthi Amman’ to have a sequel?

RJ Balaji, who made a political satire in LKG has managed to pass the test as he laces it with humour and wits in his next ‘Mookuthi Amman. The movie is a variant of a template a God/messenger of God/alien descending on earth and observing its corruptions and scandals of contemporary society. The Tamil devotional drama stars Nayanthara and RJ Balaji. Directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan, the film was released on Disney+ Hotstar VIP on November 14.

Mookuthi Amman movie has Nayanthara playing the role of a Goddess. The movie marks the directional debut of RJ Balaji. The movie has perfect blend of comedy and satire on fake god men and blind faith which are likely to be relevant to current times in many ways. The film has been receiving positive response among the audience. 

Speaking about this, actor R.J.Balaji says,”  Mookkuthi Amman has been named as the best received film among the films released on the OTT platform. Released as a Diwali special, the film is the biggest opening film starring Nayanthara. He also said that Mookkuthi Amman is the most watched Tamil movie on Disney + Hotstar VIP. He also said that he has an idea to take the second part of the film. When asked if will the political satire LKG will have a sequel UKG ? Balaji says, there is no such idea, however the Mookuthi Amman Part 2 is so easy to pick up.
