Parthiban and Karthi to join hands after a decade in Ayyapanum Koshiyum?

Malayalam blockbuster Ayyapanum Koshiyum starring Prithviraj and Biju Menon was one of the highly grossed Mollywood move following Anjaam Pathira. After it’s commercial success, the movie is now set to be remade in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a Malayalam action thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the title roles.

The plot revolves around two male’s arrogance with extended ego but on crude reality. Earlier, there were reports that producer Kathiresan’s Five Star Creations has bought the remake rights of Prithviraj’s film. While several actors were trying their luck to step into play the lead and actor Parthiban while expressing his condolences to the late director Sachy who directed the original in Malayalam, had earlier mentioned that he has zeroed down actor Karthi and Parthiban to play the lead in Tamil remake. Rumours were also doing rounds that actors Sarathkumar and Sasikumar have been approached to play the lead roles in Tamil version of the film. Later speculations were rife that Tamil remake will have Karthi reprising Prithviraj Sukumaran’s role, while Parthiban will be portraying Biju Menon’s role. However, there were no official announcement from the makers.

 
Meanwhile, producer Kathiresan who bagged the Tamil remake rights is discussing on the possibilities of working on the film with minimal crew adhering to government rules and regulations. Major portions of the film will be shot in Ooty and Kodaikanal, where Ayyapanum Koshiyum was also filmed. Rubbishing the rumours Parthiban tweeted, “This news might be a good news but only in the future as everyone have spoken to him regarding the project except producer Kathiresan.” So, it would be interesting to see if this piece of speculation comes true or merely ends up as a wild gossip.
