Vishal's Film Factory in a sticky situation

Actor and producer Vishal is in the news for not the most positive reasons. In a complaint lodged by his production house’s manager Hari, details have emerged that they’re trying to make right a sticky situation where a former employee of his production house had swindled potentially crores worth of money into her own accounts.

The complaint was given to the Vadapalani police station in Chennai, which has since been forwarded to the Virugambakkam station for further investigation. In it, they have stated that the woman in question recently purchsed a new home for ₹45 lakhs, indicating a big question mark over her source of her funds. Irregularities had emerged when the production house was served a notice for not filing TDS worth about the same amount.
Vishal’s current projects include a cybercrime thriller ‘Chakra’ and a sequal to Thupparivaalan, for which he has now also upgraded to a director.
