Why is Vignesh Shivan miffed with the Kadampari team?

With the season of horror genre still a trend in K’town and sequels of movies like Aranmanai and Chandramukhi being in the pipeline, here is a newcomer Arul, who is trying his hand in the genre. Arul who has assisted few filmmakers directs and plays the lead hero in a film titled Kadampari.

Talking to TTN Cinema the director says, “For my title, I took inspiration from Nayanthara’s character name from Naanum Oru Rowdy Thaan directed by Vignesh Shivan. It is a hardcore horror film and the entire story unfolds at a dense forest inside a haunted baunglow. I shot the film at the interior forests of Andhra Pradesh. The film made at a limited budget with all newcomers will be a different experience in horror genre.”

While Arul plays the lead guy, Kaashima Rafi essays the female lead. Others in the cast include Akila Narayanan, Nimmy, Sowmya , Sarjun, Poojitha , Maharajan and Muruganandham.

The trailer of Kadampari was released by several celebrities including Parvathi Nari, Neelima, Daniel Balaji, Daniel Anne Pope, Santhosh Dayanidhi, Ganesh Chandrasekaran, Dhananjayan etc.

Meanwhile, we hear Vignesh Shivan was pissed off with the team as he wanted to keep his memorable character Kadambari’s name to one of his films and even gearing up with a script.
