“Valimai”BGM hot to trot: Yuvan to score a fresh lease of music without Guitar

Ajith’s 60th film, Valimai, which marks the actor’s second collaboration with H Vinoth went on floors in December last year. After completing major portions of the film in Hyderabad, the team was planning to shoot high-octane stunt sequences in Spain with Ajith. However, due to the novel coronavirus the shoot got postponed. Director H Vinoth and his team have resumed the shooting of Valimai in Chennai recently, following all safety guidelines implemented by the government with Karthikeya Gummakonda.  ‘Valimai’ is produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP will have Yami Gupta and Huma Qureshi as the female lead and Nirav Shah will crank the camera.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is scoring the music, answers a million dollar question about the film which is floating on the internet. Yuvan Shankar Raja has said that he has embarked on a new venture in music for the film “Valimai”. Apparently, the composer has tried something different and this theme music will not have his signature guitar notes in it. Reportedly, he had added some new elements to compose a fresh theme music. While Ajith will be donning the role of a cop yet again, the music composer who has given a mass number for the actor in Billa and Mankatha has been experimenting with a fresh lease of music for “Valimai”.

While the fans have been awaiting to hear an update from the makers, responding to questions from fans during lockdown on Instagram, Yuvan revealed that the BGM would be the of strength film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored ‘Valimai’ theme music without using a Guitar, which makes it the first theme music to score without the use of a guitar. When one of the netizen asked what can they expect with the new BGM, the music composer replied “Work is underway. Due to the current situation, the work is progressing slowly.”
