Director Tarun Gopi hunting for a herculean actress

Director Tarun Gopi who is known to have directed Vishal’s “Thimiru” and Silamabarasan’s “Kaalai” is currently on a hunt to find the powerful leading lady of his upcoming film. After proving his mettle as a director, Tarun Gopi forayed into acting and made his debut as an actor in “Mayandi Kudumbathar”. The director is gearing up for the release of the long-awaited “Veri-Thirmuru 2”, and the blockbuster sequel will have Tharun Gopi and nt Vishal as the lead actor and Kadhal Sandhya will be playing the romantic interest of Tharun Gopi. The film is produced by Saravanan under the banner SS Productions.

After Veri-Thimiru 2, the director will be wielding the megaphone for his next directorial titled “Yaanai”. The film is jointly bankrolled by Aruth Film Factory Mannankadu Kumaresan, Tarunkopi family and LS Prabhuraja. Antony, who starred in the Merkku Thodarchi Malai, will play the lead role in the film. The  rural drama has the major portions filmed in Pattukottai, Pudukottai and Dindigul.

Tarun Gopi says, “I am going to direct this film based on the emotional, action and sentimental story that people encounter on a daily basis, with the central theme that when a woman goes to a house where she is married, she should go to that house as a daughter, and a man should be a son to the house the woman belongs.” The director is working on zeroing down a leading actress who can really roar as woman.
