“Erida” intriguing thriller based on Greek Mythology – ‘A Tale of a Goddess in Love’

The names of a few films make us think about what this film is about. This is due to the curiosity of what the title is about and what they are coming to say.

VK Prakash, who has directed hit films in many languages ​​including Malayalam, will make his directorial debut in Tamil with ‘Erida’. Ajji Meddayil and Aroma Babu are backing the film under the banner of Good Company and Aroma Cinemas in association with Prakash’s Trends Ad Film Makers Pvt Ltd. Samyukta Menon, Nasser, Kishore, Shadows Ravi and many others are playing the lead roles. The film is being shot in Bangalore. The crew plans to complete the entire film in about 25 days. A Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, teaser poster with the taglinewas shared by the makers. The title Erida is a reference to the Greek goddess of conflict and discord. 

The makers have opened up about the script to a popular media and said, “Erida is a Greek goddess, and in the film, Samyuktha Menon’s character is shaped inspired from her tale. The woman she enacts is someone who wants to be respected, but at one point, realizes that things will not happen the way she wants. She takes control of the situation, from that point. The movie shows how women have to carve their own identity, how powerful they are, how they are always taken for granted and more, despite us saying that a woman is a goddess.” Erida is known to be the goddess of hatred, as per Greek mythology. The scribe says that the film also touches upon the intricacies of man – woman relationship.

The film develops into a suspense thriller that makes it impossible to guess what the next scene will be. With this the audience can confidently hope that a different thriller story is being prepared. The film is set for a 2021 release.
