Surya and Jyothika to share screen space after 14 years in Halita Shameem’s next

We have often heard about perfect marriages but South Indian superstars, Suria and Jyothika have redefined the entire meaning of couple goals. He is the heartthrob of the youngsters, she has ruled the screen with her beauty and poise, Suriya and Jyothika are the perfect examples of a fairy tale love. Saravanan Sivakumar, known by his screen name Surya and his gorgeous wife, Jyothika, have made us believe in true love. They have proved that love is the only ingredient required for a happy married life. After 14 years of marital bliss, the couple still manages to charm their fans with their camaraderie and still give major couple goals. One look at the lovely pair would make their fans go crazy. 

The duo first met on the sets of Povellam Kettupaar and they went on to do 7 films together in total. Uyirile Kalanthadhu, Perazhagan, Maayavi, Kaakha Kaakha, June R, Sillunu Oru Kadhal. During the course of these films they developed friendship and affection for each other. With every passing day, their love only grew stronger. Post wedding Jyothika made a comeback with 36 vayathinile bankrolled by Surya’s 2D entertainment. Although Jyothika made a re-entry to the big screen, the couple hasn’t shared screen space post their wedding. Now to everyone’s delight, director Halitha Shameem is all set to bring the lovely couple and bring back their fairytale-esque love on screen again. Apparently, Halita Shameem who helmed Poovarasan Peeepi and Sllu Karupatti has narrated a script and Surya and Jyothika has even a nod to play the lead. Speaking in a recent interview, Surya said that work on the film is underway and an announcement will be made soon. The film will be directed by Halita Shameem and will be produced by Malayalam director Anjali Menon. An official announcement on the film is expected soon.
