R.S.Vimal announces his next mega-budget fictional drama "Darma Rajya"

Mahvir Karna, a mythological film titled Karnan helmed by R. S. Vimal, along with actor Vikram who will be playing the title role is one of the most anticipated film if the acclaimed actor. Currently the film is on hold and is expected to resume soon after Vikram completes the shooting for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.


The director has announced his next project ” Dharma Rajya” a mega – budget fictional royal revenge drama, which is expected to start rolling soon as the shooting schedules are shuffled due to the pandemic crisis.
Dharma Rajya will revolve around a heroic figure from Travancore history which will be a “devotional dedication” to Lord Padmanabhaswamy (Vishnu), The director upon announcing the project also added a note on his social media page. “From the backdrop of the legendary history of Travancore, comes to life, a true hero,”.He further added that a Mega superstar from Mollywood has been roped in to play the key role and we have to wait a little longer for the director to unveil information on the cast crew of the multi- lingual project.

The director also mentioned that the film will be shot extensively in a massive studio floor in London. He further briefed, “Instead of green screens, we will have gigantic LED screens located inside huge studio floors. These will display the background of the scenes, for instance, if it’s a battle sequence, we will have the warrior in a chariot physically on the sets, and the background will be shown on the screen. Similarly, if we are shooting a battle scene on the banks of a river, only the hero and his troops with weapons will be needed in the studio; the river and the forest on the opposite bank will be shown on screen.”

Dharma Rajya, the multi-lingual project is bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banner of Pooja Entertainment.The shooting of the film is planned to go on floors this year.
