Director Mohan Raja who was fondly known as “Remake Raja” made heads turn with “Thani Oruvan” a gripping cat and mouse tale. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swami, Nayanthara, and Thambi Ramaiyya in the lead role. The film was critically acclaimed and was one of the highly grossed movie of the actor and director. The film, revolves around the battle of wits between a righteous police officer and a suave, conniving entrepreneur. Earlier, Jayam Ravi mentioned that the sequel will have a powerful antagonist than the original and speculations are rife that the makers have been in talks with Mollywood superstar Mammooty to play the charming antagonist.
