While Vishal’s Chakra is in trouble with a popular production house who has seemed a ban from Madras HC for its OTT release, actor Vishal will be teaming up with director Anand Shankar for his next film. As per the buzz on social media, actor Arya has been roped in to play the main antagonist in the film. Chakra is a cyber-crime thriller featuring Shraddha Srinath and Regina Cassandra in important roles. Directed by debutant Anandan, Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for the film and Balasubramaniem has cranked the camera.

Both Arya and Vishal share a great camaraderie both on and off-screen and has already shared screen space in Bala’s “Avan Ivan”. One may recall earlier Arya had agreed to do a role with grey shades in Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai, but backed out for reasons best known to him. He had also told this newspaper then that ‘Vishy’ had asked him to be part of his film IT. “How could I say no to my close buddy who would not think of anything other than the best to offer to me?” he had said. Apparently, Arya felt that the time wasn’t right for him to play an antagonist in his career.

However, Arya has agreed to play the great shade in Vishal and Anand Shankar’s next. Ritu Varma of ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ fame is the female lead in the film. SS Thaman is signed as the music director. Touted to be an action entertainer, major portions of the film will be shot in the outskirts of Chennai. The makers of Vishal and Arya’s upcoming project, are planning to resume the shoot in October, adhering to government rules and regulations. This will be first big Tamil film to go on floors amid the coronavirus scare. Filming is set to start on October 14 at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The first phase of filming is said to wrap up before Diwali and the next phase of filming is said to take place in Malaysia.
