Director SR Prabhakaran turns producer with female centric crime thriller

Director SR Prabhakaran who has proved his mettle as a director has turned producer for a new untitled project. Touted to be a crime thriller S.R.Prabhakaran will bankroll the movie under the banner  ‘Pangajam Dreams Productions’.  Apart from directing the film,  the immensely successful director, who has delivered superhits like Sundarapandian, Idhu Kadhirvelan Kadhal and Sathriyan and is awaiting the release of Kombu Vecha Singamda, will also be penning the story, screenplay & dialogues for this upcoming film.

The film, also starring Jayaprakash, Thulasi, Aadukalam Naren, Bose Venkat and Ramnath Shetty, will have cinematography by Ganesh Santhanam. Meanwhile, Prabhakaran is awaiting the release of Kombucha Vatcha Singamda starring Sasikumar.

Tanya was last seen in Vijay Sethupathi’s Karuppan in a meaty role where she garnered good reviews for her performance. After Karuppan, the actress has been roped in to play opposite Sibi Sathyaraj in a movie titled Maayon, directed by Kishore N. An action adventure, the film has music by Ilayaraja. There were also speculations making the rounds is that SR Prabhakaran is next set to direct a female centric movie which will have Tanya Ravichandran as the leading lady. It is now official that Tanya who is the granddaughter of yesteryear actor Ravichandran (of Kathalikka Neramillai fame), will play the lead in the female centric movie. The film unit says that Tanya will be playing a never-before-seen role in the film.  

Well known character artistes like Jayaprakash, Thulasi, Aadukalam Naren, Bose Venkat and Ramnath Shetty will form an integral part of the film’s cast.  The film will also feature Swadhish Raja, Prabha, Nithisha and Merin who is introduced by Director S.R.Prabhakaran.
