Ilayaraja's family mourns for the sudden demise in the family

Tragedy haunts Ilayaraja’s family with the sudden demise of the Pavalar Mainthan (a) Joe. The Pavalar brothers Ilayaraja, Ganagai Amaran and Vradarajan ceased to dominate the Tamil film industry for almost 2 decades.

Their children inherited the same magic as their ancestors. Pavalar Varadarajan’ s elder son known by his stage name Joe worked as an assistant under R.V. Udayakumar for several years who has helmed sevral blockbuster films in 80’s including ‘Kizhakku Vaasal’, ‘Singara Velan’ and ‘Chinna Goundar’.  He had also penned the dialogues for ‘Karkka Kadadara’ and made his debut as a director in ‘Naalu Perum Romba Nallavanga’ with music scored by his kin Yuvan Shankar Raja.

His sudden demise has left his family and the industry in a trauma. Various celebrities, upon the untimely death of Joe took to social media to express their shock and anguish over the sudden death of the director.
