Legendary director’s son makes his debut as an actor

Director Mahendran’s son John Mahendran has announced his next film. It was Mahendran who truly ushered in a new era in Tamil cinema, infusing realism and taking the audience connect quotient several notches higher that resulted in a whole new experience for film goers. Screenwriter, film director, critic and playwright, he wore many hats in his life and sharp dialogues flowed from his pen like “Romba kettavan sir intha Kaali,” (by Rajinikanth) in Mullum Malarum (1978) which was his directorial debut. All his films, are cult classics which never feels fresh and never destroyed by time. His son John Mahendran has also directed some films in Tamil and Telugu.

John Mahendran made his directorial debut with the Telugu film ‘Premanchedi Endugamma’ and also directed ‘Neetho’. John made his directorial debut in Tamil in 2005 with the film ‘Sachin’ starring Vijay and Genelia. Sachin’s film is still tops the list of Vijay’s best movies. He last directed the film ‘Anywhere’ in 2007. Now after a hiatus, is making a debut as an actor in ‘Casio.’ 

In this case, John Mahendran is currently making his acting debut. John Mahendran is going to act in the movie ‘Casino’. The film is directed by Mark Joel. Vani Bojan plays the lead role in the film. Directed by Mark Joel, the film will have Madhampatty Rangaraj, in the lead role Vani Bhojan playing the female lead. The team took to Twitter to make the announcement. They also revealed that the first schedule of shooting has been completed.
