“Othayadi Paadhaiyila” song clocked over 100 M views in Youtube
“Kanna” is a film which revolves around the plight of farmers in Tamilnadu against the backdrop of a high octane sports drama. The story is about a girl conquering her dreams despite the various obstacles that come along the way to make her father happy, who is an avid sports fan, the triumph of a farmer’s daughter in international women’s cricket formed the core of the film.
“Kanaa” marked the maiden production venture of actor Sivakarthikeyan and directional debut for the lyricist Arunraja Kamaraja. The movie starred Aishwarya Rajesh, Sathyaraj, Dharshan in the lead role and Sivakarthikeyan played a pivotal role in the movie. The film was remade in Telugu as “Kausalya Krishnamoorthy” . The entire team was riding high on success as the movie emerged as a box-office hit in both the languages.
Apart from the screenplay and the performances, the film’s songs composed by Dibhu Thomas, became a massive hit among the audience. After achieving more than 100 million views on youtube in the first track “Vaayadi Petha Pulla”, “Othayadi Paadhaiyila” song sung by Anirudh achieved a new milestone as the songs video nears to a whopping 100 million mark. Vaayadi Petha Pulla was an instant chartbuster as it was crooned by actor Sivakarthikeyan’s daughter who made it more adorable to play it on loop, while the reception for Othaiyadi Pathayila was a little slow. It was after the film’s release that the latter picked up momentum on YouTube.
Escalated by the big news, the production house penned down a note to congratulate the team on their achievement.
