Sonu Sood opens up about how he bagged his first debut film opposite Vijayakanth

Ever since the the novel corona virus has attacked the nation, Sonu Sood has been involved in noble deeds and has been helping the nation combat the virus by helping the migrants and students across the country. Hailed as a real hero during the lockdown, Sonu Sood is not just helping out people during the pandemic but also taking time to respond to weird and bizarre requests sent out to him on social media and interviews. In an interview with Neha Dhupia for her podcast, Sonu Sood reportedly shared the story of how he was told to just remove his shirt during the audition for his debut film opposite Vijaykanth.

Actor Sonu Sood who is one of the versatile actor in Bollywood, has opened up on his first film “Kallazhagar”, revealing that while he prepared for the language (Tamil) on his way to the audition, he learnt as many words as he could in Tamil from a book gifted by his mother. But all he was asked to do was to take his shirt off and he bagged the movie. Sonu said he had been giving auditions for long, believing he was doing a brilliant job, but clearly it wasn’t the same for filmmakers as he did not get any project.

 
 
 
Sonu said “I will tell you when I got my first film – a south Indian film, my mom gifted me a book ‘How to learn Tamil’ and I was trying to mug up Tamil words for water, ‘come here’ and the likes on the way. I went to the studio and the AD asked me to sit alone. I started imagining that my life is all set to change. They said ‘very good Sonu, you have a good body, can you take out your T-shirt and show us?’ I was like, fine and I did. They said ‘good, you are doing our movie’. I was like ‘Did I get the movie?’ and they said, ‘yes, you got it’.”
