Seenu Ramasamy congratulates Vijay Sethupathi to have withdrawn from ‘800’

Muralitharan, who is considered the greatest ever bowler in the history of cricket with 800 Test wickets and 534 ODI wickets, will have his biopic released soon and his role will be essayed by tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi. The film, which recollects his journey from the turbulent times of war and chaos in Sri Lankan society to his legendary bowling status, the biopic traces of the bowling wizard’s journey in style. After actor Vijay Sethupathi was subjected to strong criticism on social media for agreeing to star in his biopic, and Muthiah Muralidharan oo Monday, issued a statement and said he doesn’t want to be reason to derail the career of a great artist like Vijay Sethupathi and asked the Makkal Selvan to withdraw from the film considering that there should be no unnecessary obstacles in their artistic journey in the future.

Vijay Sethupathi shared Muralitharan’s statement with a message ‘Nandri, Vanakkam’ as if to suggest that he won’t be starring in 800. Currently, director Seenu Ramasamy has congratulated Vijay Sethupathi for his decision to withdraw from the movie. The award winning director tweed, “Without thinking to elevate his hero status. Simple as always. Thank you and good bye. To the one who seeks that himself. Congratulations to Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi who responded and uplifted the love of the Tamil people in a peaceful way. ”
