T Rajender has written a letter to the Special Electoral Officer alleging irregularities in the Producers Union election. Tamil Film Producers Association election (22-11-2020) was held and the results were released the next day. In a major blow in his bid to have a breakthrough in Kollywood, veteran director and producer T Rajendar has lost the election for the president of Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and he had conceded the defeat to producer Murali of Sri Thenandal Films, who will be taking over the council from Vishal and his faction.

In this situation, T Rajender has written a letter to the private election officer alleging that there has been irregularity in the Producers’ Union election.

The letter reads as follows:

“Hello, I contested for the post of President on behalf of the Producers ‘Security Team in the Tamil Film Producers’ Association election. Of the 1303 members eligible to vote in this election, 1050 members were reported to have voted. When the voter list was checked, it was revealed that more than 400 voters did not turn out to vote. A report from our association last March stated that more than 300 members had not paid their annual subscription and would be removed from their basic membership if they failed to pay. In this case, it is observed that around 200 people have paid a lump sum annual subscription, obtained their identity card and cast fraudulent votes through it. My teammates have been complaining to me about the same. So I ask you to give me the following documents

1. List of addresses and mobile numbers of 1050 members who voted.

2 Details of the votes they declared to be recorded every hour

3. A copy of the register signed by the member when the voting member receives the ballot papers before the voting of the register signed by the concerned member when the retired Justice Jayachandran receives their signed identity card.
