Director Nishikant Kamat passes away at 50

Bollywood director Nishikant Kamat who had been diagnosed with chronic liver disease two years back passed away today at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. The filmmaker was 50 years old, and the statement issued said that he was suffering from fever and excessive fatigue.
Friend and actor Riteish Deshmukh who starred in Kamat’s film Lai Bhaari Tweeted: “I will miss you my friend Nishikant Kamat. Rest in peace,”


Praise and grievances were also issued by Ajay Devgn, who starred in Kamat’s Drishyam. He Tweeted: “My equation with Nishikant was not just about Drishyam, a film which he directed with Tabu and me. It was an association that I cherished. He was bright; ever-smiling. He has gone too soon. RIP Nishikant.”
