Actor Soundararaja wants a greener Tamil Nadu

Actor and social activist M. Soundararaja recently launched a new campaign to plant 25000 trees across Tamil Nadu during the monsoon period. With his trust ‘Mannukkum Makkalukkum’ entering its 5th year, the actor said that he has taken all permissions and precautions required to make this possible.

Revealing more details to TTN Cinemas, the trust said that they have Palmera seeds and a few other countryside verities, and all these would be planted by ponds, lakes, mountains, school and college campuses, after approval. The Agricultural & Environment department have advised them to nourish these trees at least once a month, and that too will be under the trusts’ expense.

The launch will be held on the 11th of August at the Annaai Velankanni Engineering college in Perungulathoor, Chennai.
