Kamal Haasan is a genius and is India's Al Pacino – Rathnavelu

Cinematographer Rathnavelu aka Randy has recently likened Kamal Haasan to The Godfather star Al Pacino. The guy behind some of K’town’s iconic visuals such as Enthiran, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Nenokkadine feels that Kamal is as much an icon of cinema as Al Pacino.

Rathnavelu has been working with Kamal for the first time in Indian 2. Directed by the ever ambitious Shankar, Randy’s interaction with the Ulaganayagan have all been positive so far, going as far as to even call him a ‘genius.’

Indian 2 is Lyca’s next big budgeted project and features a host of names such as Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani, Kajal Aggarwal, Vidyut Jamwal, Bobby Simha and Vivek. A recent crane disaster that lead to the death of 2 technicians had put a halt to the shoot, soon after which COVID-19 had struck the entire industry altogether. Nonetheless, the makers are keen to resume the shoot once guidelines are given.
