Lokesh Kanagaraj to share a big announcement of his upcoming directorial venture at 6 pm today! Stay tuned

Lokesh Kanagaraj who made a promising debut with “Maanagaram” didn’t take longer to reach the stardom. With the second film “Kaidi” starring Karthi, the director has made heads turn and the director has a list of projects where he will be wielding the megaphone for the biggies in the industry. As fans, we willingly suspend disbelief as we watch the hero defy every known law of physics to save the damsel in distress. We don’t bat an eyelid when we see an actress dancing in sub-zero temperatures wearing nothing but a chiffon saree, and we take it for granted that the lead actor will never die, no matter how many shots are fired at him. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj broke the stereotype of a cliched Tamil cinema with no heroine, songs or drama and won applause for his second directorial venture “Kaidi” which garnered him an opportunity to helm the Thalapathy himself in the next project. 

It is well known that Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie ‘Master’ starring Thalapathy Vijay, makkal selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Malvika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and many others and the film was scheduled to release on April 9, 2020. The release date of the film, which has been postponed due to lockdown, is expected to be announced soon and will probably be released for Diwali this year or Pongal next year.The producer Xavier Britto has clearly stated that the film will only have a conventional release and will not opt for OTT streaming. Meanwhile the director was also rumoured to helm a multi-starrer project with the Superstar Rajinikanth under the banner of Raaj Kamal films. Lokesh is certainly making a lot of noise with his films. A few days back we heard that Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers have signed Lokesh and a big Tollywood hero would be featuring in it. While several speculations are rife, the director took to twitter and hinted the audience about his next directorial venture. He wrote, “I’m very happy to let you guys know that the Announcement of my next directorial venture will be out tomorrow at 6pm!”. The comments section is flooded with speculations of his upcoming project and the fans are eagerly awaiting for the clock to stuck 6 to know about the highly anticipated update.
