Udhaya to make his acting debut in short film

Actor/producer Udhaya, son of popular producer AL Azhagappan was in news recently as he announced that he would take a 40% cut in his salary for two of his upcoming films. “Being a producer myself, I know the hardships he/she undergoes while making a film. So, I volunteered to cut down my salary during the crisis.”

Now, once again he has surprised all by turning a filmmaker. Yes, Udhaya has wielded the megaphone for the first time for a short film titled  Security, which he has made during lockdown. Besides him, the short features former national squash champion Komal Sharma and Manikandan. Udhaya also introduces his little son Jaeshan Udhaya in a key character. The first look poster was revealed today.

The short is bankrolled by his home banner Jaeshan Studios in association with Sachin Cinemas.   While Udhaya is busy with two films Agni Natchathiram, where he plays one of the leads and STR’s  Maanaadu, in which he essays a vital character, Komal’s kitty has Mohanlal’s historical epic war film titled  Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham and she is also debuting in a Bollywood flick  Hungama 2 directed by Priyadarshan.
