R.Parthiban to team up with Vijay’s romantic blockbuster director

While Kollywood stars thirst for unique scripts, Parthiban always has something special up his sleeve. R.Parthiban is undoubtedly one of the finest actor in Kollywood and recognized as one of the most versatile practitioners of his artistic skills. He was widely known for his successes as an actor, producer, director, in “House full”, “Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam” and “Aayirathil Oruvan”. Parthiban was also a writer and director with more than a dozen of movies and produced scripts to his credit. Parthiban’s last directorial venture was the critically acclaimed Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7, in which he featured as the only character in the film’s frame.

Parthiban was recently signed to play a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Tamil magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. However, he opted out of the project due to his directorial commitments. After Oththaa Seruppu Size 7, a film featuring just a single actor, director-actor Parthiban is back with yet another unique idea. The filmmaker will be helming a feature that will be Asia’s first single-shot film titled “Iravin Nizhal.” Apart from this the actor also has “Tuglak Darbar” opposite Vijay Sethupathi and the Tamil remake of the Malayalam blockbuster “Ayyapanum Koshiyum” in his kitty. 

The latest buzz is that R.Parthiban is all set to join hands with director Ezhil who made his debut in with the 1999 Vijay’s romantic blockbuster “Thullatha Mananum Thulllum”. His success streak continued with Pennin Manathai Thottu, Poovellam Un Vasam and Deepavali and later shifted his focus to comedy entertainers, and has been helming films like Desingu Raja, Velainu Vandhutta Vellakaran, and Saravanan Irukka Bayamen, this decade.

The filmmaker, who is currently working on two projects  Jagajala Killadi, starring Vishnu Vishal and Nivetha Pethuraj, and the fantasy horror film, Aayiram Jenmangal

starring GV Prakash is all set to team up with actor-director Parthiban next for a comedy riot. The film also stars Nivetha Pethuraj and Gautham Karthik in the lead roles.
