Valimai goes to Bollywood

Recently, we wrote about Thala Ajith’s beefed up looks from the sets of Valimai shared by a fighter Sai, which made a lot of noise due to the scarcity of Thala content. Now, the latest we hear is that Valimai directed by Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios is being dubbed in Hindi as well.

Reports suggest the cop actioner has a theme, which would go well with Bollywood audiences as well and hence the makers have opted for the idea. Also, sources say that Ajith will be seen as a police officer who has a passion for bike racing.  And it is a known secret that Ajith is a real life champ in car racing.

While Huma Qureshi who debuted in Tamil with Rajini’s Kaala plays the female lead, Yogi Babu will appear in a key character. Tollywood actor Karthikeya of RX 100 fame is the main villain.  Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer.

The team has completed a few schedules of the film before the lockdown and it is learnt that Ajith has instructed them that he is in no hurry and will resume the shoot only after the country gets back normal from the Covid-19 pandemic.
