Music transcends all boundaries, they say. Which is why despite the social distancing that COVID has imposed on us, the death of legendary singer SP Balasubhramaniam has the country weeping together. The 74-year-old singer passed away after a month-long battle with Coronavirus and even though he tested negative on September 4, his condition deteriorated in the last few days breathed his last on September 25. He leaves behind his wife, son and daughter.On Friday evening, many politicians, celebrities and fans paid their last respects to the legendary singer at his Chennai house. Veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, who is also a part of the film, shared pictures of them paying last respects to SPB in Jaipur. They lit candles in memory of the legendary singer and organised a prayer meet.Radikaa Sarathkumar wrote, “#SPBalasubrahmanyam a tribute by the unit in Jaipur @VijaySethuOffl #TapseePannu #rajendraprasad.” Telugu actor Rajendra prasad was also with them.

In one of her earlier tweets, Radikaa Sarathkumar said, “Sad and a heartbreaking day #SPBalasubrahmanyam . Lived his life beautifully, contributing to society his passion and music. His voice will live on forever. May he rest in peace.”

Directed by Deepak Sundarajan, son of renowned director R. Sundarajan, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Tapseei in dual role. Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Madhumita and Subbu Panchu have been roped in to play pivotal roles in the film. The filming is taking place at the grand mansions of Rambagh and Samoth in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is noteworthy that this is the shooting of the Tamil film that is taking place there after the shooting of the former chief minister MGR’s movie ‘Adimaippen’ starring Jayalalitha.
